Soapstone Chicago
To appeal to the affluent target customer of the Soapstone, a Chicago-based bath and body products retailer, freakdigital developed an elegant and richly-interactive Flash-based site. The site highlighted the breadth of products and luxury brands featured in the store. freakdigital designed a simple, engaging home page that invited the user to explore without overwhelming her with hundreds of product links. freakdigital used the audio capabilities of Flash to create a soothing, category-appropriate experience for the potential customer of this unique boutique store.Note: While Soapstone’s website was a source of pride for several years, the owner has since closed the shop and relocated from blustery Chicago.
Role: Designed and developed entire site from start to finish. Used ActionScript to dynamically load product content and images where appropriate, based on the Flash 5 platform in which site was developed.
